Aim: The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of mindfulness-based psychotherapy on behavioral flexibility and health resilience in people with corona anxiety during the epidemic of the disease. Methods: This research was conducted with a semi-experimental method with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group and a three-month follow-up period. The statistical population of the research included people suffering from corona anxiety who had contacted counseling centers in Isfahan city in the summer season of 2021 to receive telephone counseling. Among the statistical population, 33 people were selected by purposeful sampling and were randomly replaced in two experimental and control groups. The people in the experimental group received mindfulness-based psychotherapy (8 sessions) based on the protocol of Kabat-Zinn (2003) within two months. Questionnaires used in this research included Action Flexibility Questionnaire (Dennis and Vanderwal, 2010), Gebhardt, Vanderdev and Powell (2001) health stubbornness questionnaire and Alipour et al. Corona Anxiety Questionnaire (2018). The data obtained from the research were analyzed by the method of mixed variance analysis by SPSS23 statistical software. Results: The results showed that psychotherapy based on mindfulness on action flexibility (P<0001; Eta=0.62; F=52.32) and health stubbornness (P<0001; Eta=0.65; F=55.09) has had an effect on people suffering from corona anxiety. Conclusion: Based on the findings of the present research, psychotherapy based on mindfulness using techniques of mindful attitude, mindful activities, dealing with problematic emotions and emotions, and breathing exercises can be an effective method to improve flexibility. The action and tenacity of the health of those suffering from corona anxiety should be used.
