Aim: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of dialectical behavior therapy-based skill training on failure tolerance, cognitive regulation of emotion, and quality of married life of women with repeated abortions. Method: The statistical population consisted of all women referring to infertility clinics in Tehran in 2018-2019. A sample of 30 of these women was selected using available sampling method and judged according to the entry and exit criteria, and they were randomly assigned to the experimental and control groups (15 people in each group). Researches include: Simmons and Gaher (2005) failure tolerance questionnaire, Garnevsky, Kraij and Spinhon (2006) cognitive and emotional regulation, Fletcher, Simpson and Thomas (2000) quality of married life. The statistical method used was repeated measurement and significance level (0.05). Findings: According to the results of the average difference in the two groups in the pre-test, post-test and follow-up stages and the significance of these differences, there was a significant difference in tolerance of failure, cognitive regulation of emotion and quality of married life in the two groups, and skill training based on dialectical behavior therapy. It had an effect on the variables of tolerance of failure, cognitive regulation of emotion and quality of married life, and the effect size of this treatment was 0.885, 0.910, 0.983 respectively. Conclusion: According to the confirmation of the effectiveness of the treatment, it is recommended that these women receive appropriate psychological treatments in addition to receiving medical treatments at the same time.
