Abstract

Aim: The aim of the current research was the effectiveness of the training program based on the threats and opportunities of remote work for both working couples in the conditions of Corona on work-family conflict and its dimensions. Method: The current research is a quantitative and applied research in which a semi-experimental method was used with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population of the semi-experimental part was the couples of both working in the city of Kerman, who have referred to counseling centers in the city of Kerman for some reasons. Therefore, we negotiated with one of the private consulting centers to cooperate in the research and an agreement was reached. Then, using questionnaires prepared in a targeted manner, couples who scored more than the cut-off point of the tools were selected in the number of 20 couples and after matching, they were randomly replaced in the experimental group (10 couples) and the control group (10 couples). Then, the experimental group was subjected to a training program based on the threats and opportunities of telecommuting of both working couples, while the control group did not receive any training. The data collection tool was the work-family conflict questionnaire of Carlson et al. (2000). In order to analyze the data in the quantitative part of the data, analysis of variance with repeated measurements was used with the help of SPSS software. Results: Considering that the F value calculated for the effect of groups for work-family conflict and its dimensions is significant at the 5% level (P < 0.05), then it can be said that between the experimental and control groups, there is a significant difference from the intervention, and the intervention has had a significant effect on the work-family conflict and its dimensions. Based on Bonferroni's follow-up test, the effects of the training program based on the opportunities and threats of remote work on work-family conflict and its dimensions in the follow-up phase are stable. Conclusion: Therefore, it can be concluded that the training package based on the lived experiences of both working couples during the quarantine days of the corona outbreak was effective on the work-family conflict dimensions of couples and this effect was stable in the follow-up phase.
